The food services coordinator manages the daily operational and financial responsibilities in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
Position Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- One year of customer service, food service experience
Other Requirements
- Must possess or have the ability to poses a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint clearance Card by the time of hire
Preferred Requirements
- two or more years of customer service or food service experience
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS
- Attends to day-to-day problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies.
- knowledge of how to operate & manage household applications.
- Coordinates food planning & ordering with caterers; orders food & supplies.
- Serve customers in an efficient, courteous manner.
- Operate POS and run reports without the help of a manger a least once a week.
- Knowledge and skill in the application of food safety and sanitary requirements.
- Knowledge and skill in the application of compliance paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with caterers, students, and parents regarding all aspects of food menu.
Working Conditions
Work primarily in school kitchen setting. Considerable repetitive computer functions. Constant interruptions in a high-volume work environment. Work is performed with time pressures and requires handling multiple tasks frequently changing tasks and interruptions. Extensive public contact via telephone, email and in person. Work requires the ability remain in a sitting position 75% of the time, 15% walking and 10% standing. This job is perfumed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
