What are the responsibilities and job description for the FIELD SUPERVISOR- ELECTRIC position at EDMONSON ELECTRIC LLC?
Job Summary:
- Supervising all jobs going out of the branch being performed in their respective communities.
- Overseeing job readiness, job completion and tracking progress of crews at their respective jobs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all aspects of the electrical construction process for each of their respective communities.
- Supervising all crews and technicians, making sure all theirs tasks are completed in a timely, and workmanlike manner.
- Responsible for scheduling of multi-family undergrounds, any material needing to be ordered for undergrounds, and completion.
- Ensuring crews have all material needed to complete their jobs in a timely manner.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for updating job readiness paperwork if not daily, every other day. Ensuring branch manager is able to have the knowledge of which jobs are ready to be sent out.
- Ensuring crews have received all pertinent information regarding their homes before start of their task.
- Laying out homes, if necessary, with crew to ensure job is being completed correctly.
- Making sure crews finish their task in a timely manner, so that Branch manager will know when to assign next task for crew.
- Going behind every crew and performing QA’s on both rough and trim crews.
- Making sure QA’s get turned in for each home as well as ensuring that QA’s are completed.
- Responsible to make work orders and submit for EPO request to get work completed.
- Makes sure all paperwork is submitted and EPO’s obtained for work orders before work is performed.
- Notify branch manager assistant of all EPO request so it can be logged and tracked for billing.
- Redlining prints and completing paperwork for all underground tickets and UFER installs.
- Responsible for notifying permitting/estimating to any changes in the plans, so that take offs and prices can be adjusted accordingly.
- Verifying readiness of home for all inspections and in some instances notifying their scheduler to call in for applicable inspections.
- Other related duties assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be proficient at multi-tasking.
- Ability to foresee possible issues and address before they come larger than they need to.
- Good at delegating job tasks and follow up ensuring jobs are completed.
- Must be a people person, able to communicate clearly and effectively to trade partners, builders, employees etc.
- Proficient on computer (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook etc.).
- Ability to read situations while creating an effective plan to get jobs completed as quickly and safely as possible.
- Ability to read blueprints and scale when necessary.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of management and/or supervisory experience
- 2 years of related experience required.
- 5 extensive electrical knowledge required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must have clean driving record.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, squat, and walk for long periods of time
- Use of ladders
