Position Overview:
This position is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of a club competitive and recreational girls gymnastics team and facility. This position requires a high level of expertise in coaching upper level gymnastics, developing competitive routines, and preparing athletes for competitions both mentally and physically. The Director will ensure that the program not only enhances athletic skills but also focuses on teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. This position will manage the schedule and coaches. This opportunity could be to manage a gym, own a gym, or manage a gym with potential to become owner.
Gym Management:
- Manage daily schedule of gymnasts and coaches.
- Creates daily guide for curriculum to advance coaches and gymnasts.
- Provides leadership and direction to coaches.
- Maintains a safe and productive environment for gymnasts and staff.
- Manages budget and expenditures and reports to owner.
Program Leadership:
- Design, implement, and administer the training program for the club competitive team and recreational groups.
- Develop training plans that include technique enhancement, routine construction, and mental conditioning.
- Prepare gymnasts for local, state, and regional competitions, ensuring they meet all required standards.
Coaching and Mentoring:
- Provide hands-on coaching and technical instruction to gymnasts at various levels of ability.
- Mentor coaches within the team program, ensuring high-quality training and consistent coaching methodologies.
- Foster a supportive and motivating environment that encourages athlete growth and performance.
Performance Evaluation:
- Conduct regular performance reviews of athletes and staff to ensure alignment with program goals.
- Utilize video analysis and other modern coaching tools to provide detailed feedback and technique correction.
- Set clear performance goals and track athlete progress against these metrics.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce all gym safety protocols and ensure compliance with USAG regulations.
- Maintain a safe training environment by regularly reviewing equipment and facilities.
- Educate athletes and coaches on injury prevention and proper gymnastics techniques.
Parent and Community Relations:
- Maintain open and effective communication with gymnasts' families, providing regular updates on training progress and competitive results.
- Engage with the gymnastics community to enhance the program’s profile and establish strong relationships.
- Represent Gym at gymnastics events and within various gymnastics communities.
Professional Development:
- Stay update to date on the latest gymnastics techniques, coaching methodologies, and industry standards.
- Monitor and administer changes at the USA Gymnastics and State Levels.
- Attend workshops, clinics, and courses to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
- Share knowledge and insights with coaching staff to elevate the overall quality of the program.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a competitive gymnastics coach with a track record of developing successful gymnasts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of USAG rules and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Passionate about gymnastics and youth development.
Schedule and Availability:
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends to accommodate training and competition schedules
