Position Summary :
Performs repairs and maintenance to a variety of equipment including but not limited to : Gas Station Fueling Equipment and Underground Storage Tanks.
Supervises repairs and maintenance on Dresser Wayne and Gilbarco Veeder-root fuel dispensers. Including all dispenser electronics, communications and hydraulic systems.
Oversees work assignments for field service personnel who perform on-site services including installation, maintenance, and repair.
Schedules Field Service Technicians. Oversees most day to day operations of team. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Handles other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities :
- Performs repair and maintenance services in the field
- Provides support and training for team members in the field
- Oversees day to day service operations in a 24x7 environment
- Schedules and assigns jobs and work areas to Field Technicians according to their skills, geography, etc to maximize tech efficiency, ensure geographic coverage, and meet established service levels.
- Manage after hours "on call" schedule
- Reviews work orders for completeness and accuracy to ensure accurate billing
- Ensures all department tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order
- Review and approve payroll
- Employee evaluations
Working Relationships : Internal : Operations, Fleet, Payroll, HR, FSS Managers, Coordinators, and Dispatchers External : Equipment, Parts, Service vendors. Equipment manufacturers.
Requirements :
Minimum Education : A high school diploma or its equivalent.
Preferred Education : Associates degree or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated knowledge of critical fuel dispensing equipment and infrastructure.
Management / Leadership training.
Minimum Experience : Supervision of Field Technicians. 3 years technical experience in the trade. Basic working knowledge with Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, Outlook.
Proficient with smart phone and / or tablet computers.
Preferred Experience : 3 years experience supervising Field Service Technicians. Dispatching software system experience.
Licenses / Certifications : Valid driver's license.
Soft Skills : Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
Other : Physical Travel Travel as needed - Regionally Daily, Nationally infrequently.
