Direct Support Professional
Location: Norwood, NJ
Looking for a self-directed employee for a young man living in his own home. He enjoys going on walks and venturing out into his community. Keeping him busy and engaged is required. Attention to detail and schedules are important to him as well as his family. Employees must be willing to be outside in all types of weather and provide transportation using their own vehicle.
The ideal candidate would have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, anxiety and following behavior plans.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assisting with hygiene tasks
- Administration of medication
- Light meal preparation and feeding
- Transportation to community activities
- Working social and communication skills
Requirements:
- Reliable vehicle for transportation
- Valid Drivers License
- Must be willing to have a background check, fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Schedule:
- Fridays 6pm-12am
- Saturday and Sunday: 9am-5pm
- Per Diem (as needed)
Salary: $25 per hour
Work Location: In-Person

Expected hours: 6 – 32 per week

- Every weekend
- Morning shift
- On call
