What are the responsibilities and job description for the Desktop Support Technician position at eJAmerica?
We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for resolving computer-related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software.
- Resolve issues for clients via phone, in person, or electronically.
- Recommend hardware and software improvements.
- Track customer issues, resolutions, and escalations
- IT Equipment Inventory keeping
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in IT, customer service,
- Ability to build rapport with clients.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Must know about Microsoft desktop operating systems.
- Must know PC hardware architecture.
- Must know typical desktop applications, (i.e., MS Office, virus scan, Ghost, etc.)
- Good understanding of the SCCM environment and OS deployment
- A solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other network fundamentals
- Good understanding of other IT disciplines, (i.e. Messaging, Server operations, etc.)
- Should have a good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Patch management, DHCP, and DNS
- Should have a good understanding of user profile management.
- 2 - 5 years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician
- Familiar with ITIL Concepts related to Service Delivery and SLA compliance.
- Ticketing System, ServiceNow, Remedy, or Similar

Other locations to support within the state are:
1 store in Flagstaff (1 mile from the main office).
1 store and 1 field office in Sedona.
1 store and 1 field office in Kingman.
1 field office Parker.
1 store and 1 field office in Lake Havasu City
1 field office in Bullhead City. Most of the support can be performed remotely, but travel may be necessary.
Salary : $45,000 - $47,000
