What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilitator - College Career Readiness (CCR) position at El Paso Leadership Academy?
Primary Purpose:
Plan implement and monitor school-wide strategies that promote equity and universal student access to post-secondary pathways and build capacity of systems, leaders, and teachers to deliver them. Coordinate with the Executive Director and other deans to ensure students are participating in Dual Credit enrollment as a stand alone or as part of the Early College High School (ECHS) program and the credit recovery program successfully to ensure that students graduate with their assigned cohort and with their acquired post-secondary credits.
Education/Certification
- 30 college hours
- Paraprofessional certification (preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience:
- At least one year of paraprofessional experience preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Working knowledge of online programs dedicated to college career readiness, working with both accelerated students and students in the process of recovering credit.
- Collaborates with school administrators to identify, develop, and implement college and career pathways
- Assists with the implementation and evaluations related to professional development to support
college and career pathways
- Works cooperatively with school leaders to review metrics and implement graduation planning audits and tools
- Dual Credit and ECHS facilitation
- Demonstrate a passion for and commitment to EPLA’s mission and educational model
- Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Personal qualities of maturity, humility, strong work ethic, sense of humor, and a “roll-up-my-sleeves” attitude
Preference(s):
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Knowledge of Dual Credit and ECHS models, requirements, and responsibilities
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
- Extensive knowledge of post-secondary pathway options
- Successful work experience coordinating college and work-based opportunities for students
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work with diverse constituencies including classroom teachers, principals, district administrators, specialists, higher education faculty, business and industry representatives, and regional service providers
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines with minimal direction
- Ability to build and maintain effective collaborative relationships with higher education, business and industry, community organizations, and other service providers

Computer, copier, telephone, public address system, and other equipment applicable to position
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Works with frequent interruptions; maintains emotional control under stress. Lifts heavy objects (i.e. furniture) at times. May be required under specific circumstances to provide physical restraint of scholars in danger of causing harm to themselves or others. Conducts other duties as assigned.
Salary : $15 - $19
