What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandising Assistant position at Elder Manufacturing Company, Inc.?
Our Apparel Merchandise Assistants are responsible for assisting our Merchandise Managers from conception to completion on producing school apparel items. Duties include setting up new garment styles in our database and managing this data, creating PO's for purchasing fabric, issuing factory cutting tickets and closely monitoring these tickets until they are received into our warehouse. All of these functions are completed by working with multiple reports. Since our Company likes to promote from within, this job can lead to a full Merchandise Manager position when training is complete and an opening develops. The start up salary range is $45-$48,000, based on experience.
Job Qualifications
* College degree preferred and/or apparel manufacturing experience.
* Must have good attention to details and be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
* Self-motivated and be able to prioritize workload.
* Ability to communicate effectively with Sales Team, Fabric Mills and Factory Personnel.
* Excel and Word experience required. Experience with IBM AS400 and Outlook a plus. .
Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
