Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment labor laws, and fostering a positive workplace environment. Responsibilities
- Work closely with the HR Consultant to Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment labor laws and regulations.
- Oversee talent acquisition processes, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination
- Assist the HR Consultant with managing employee onboarding and training development programs to enhance workforce capabilities.
- Maintain and update the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) for accurate employee records/files.
- Assist with supporting the HR Consultant with performance management initiatives by assisting in the development of performance appraisal systems.
- Assist HR Consultant with facilitating Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) processes and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Assist in affirmative action planning and ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity regulations.
- Collaborate with management on workforce management strategies to optimize staffing levels.
- Provide guidance on contract negotiations and employee relations issues as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role with a strong understanding of HR practices.
- Familiarity with iCIMS or similar applicant tracking systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of employment labor law, FMLA regulations, and affirmative action planning is essential.
- Proficiency in HRIS software for managing employee data effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
