Cloud Engineer

Element6's client is looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team and help us design, implement, and migrate to cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with both IT and business units to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs and expectations. You will also be responsible for providing leadership-level input on cloud projects, ensuring best practices, and providing technical mentoring to other developers and engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design cloud solutions using Azure services, such as Azure App Service, Azure Storage, Azure SQL
• Database, Azure Scale Sets, Azure VDI, etc.
• Implement and deploy cloud solutions using Terraform pipelines, PowerShell, CLI, or other tools.
• Plan and execute the migration of on-premises systems to Azure.
• Optimize and troubleshoot cloud solutions for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Establish monitoring and management capabilities for cloud resources using Azure policies, tags, alerts, dashboards, and logs.
• Create virtual networks with efficient performance and security to handle workloads.
• Provide technical leadership to developers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5 years of experience in cloud, design, support, and troubleshooting.
• 5 years of hands-on experience Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS technologies.
• Hands on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, VDI, Scale Sets, and load balancing.
• Hands on experience deploying cloud assets using Terraform pipelines.
• Strong understanding of IP subnetting, Network Security Groups, routing, Azure Firewall, load
• balancing, DNS, and other network protocols.
• Strong knowledge of cloud design patterns, principles, and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking and connectivity options, including VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, and load balancing.
• Hands on experience with administrative scripting using PowerShell or Azure CLI is highly
• desirable.
• Hands on experience running VMWare virtual machines in Azure is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
