Position: Head of Cultivation
Job: Our Head of Cultivation oversees the cultivation facility, manages the cultivation team, ensures the company is compliant with state regulations, implements strategic improvements, and coordinates interdepartmental communication to maintain optimal operations and plant health
Pay: 65,000 annually depending on experience

By completion basis. The day is done when the work is. Some Overtime will be required by default5 Day work weeks with 7 day availability needed.
Entry-Level Cultivation Technician Job Description
Duties And Responsibilities:
- This position reports to the Director of Cultivation and the Director of Operations
- The Head of Cultivation is in charge of assuring the cultivation area is operating to the highest level possible. Managing the entire cultivation crew and working with the Director of Cultivation to implement new strategies, concepts, and evaluating risk factors.
- In the absence of the Director of Operations, the Head of Cultivation should have the capability to make necessary decisions that will have a positive impact on the Garden.
- Communicate with other departments within the facility to inform and ensure all garden related events that may impact other departments are relayed and discussed as necessary.
- The Head of Cultivation, as the name suggests, is the leader within the department, and needs to possess and show these qualities.
Job Requirements:
- Be able to lift and move up to 50lbs
- 4 years of commercial cannabis cultivation
- Be able to work long hours in a fast-paced work environment
- Oversee completion of weekly tasks including but not limited to:
- Cloning
- Transplants (Clone to Veg And Flower Plant Movement)
- IPM Implementation (As Required)
- Weekly/Daily Cleaning Protocols and Procedures
- Pruning
- Trellising
- Mulching, Disposing, and recording of all waste produced by the garden within the guidelines that are set by the State of Missouri and DHSS.
- Garden supply inventory and ordering. Assuring all vital components that are required for successful garden operations are in stock and available for use.
- Ensure Metrc is in Compliance and up to date
- Assisting the Cultivation Lead to manage the other garden employees. This will include but not limited to training them in new tasks, managing ongoing tasks, assuring all tasks are being completed up to company standards, and directing supervision in day-to-day operations.
- Ensuring all employees trained and facilitating more training when needed.
- Data collection, record keeping, and analysis
- Aid in SOP creation, and organization
- Maintaining a clean and organized grow space
- Implement, and communicate any new protocol or directive from the management team
- Ensure garden is compliant with the State of Missouri Regulations
- Identify, report, and help resolve potential problems throughout the cultivation area. From hazards to plant health and pest management.
- Adhere to all safety and procedure policies
- Ensure all scheduled tasks are completed by the end of every day, and that they are completed to set company standards
- Irrigation and fertigation program creation and implementation. Assuring all “Growlink” systems are working in parameters set by Elevate Missouri.
- Monitor climate on a weekly basis, and communicate issues with necessary parties to ensure climate is always in a stable,ideal zone.
- Aid in ongoing IPM strategy and maintenance. This will include daily spot checks for pests, ongoing preventative IPM implementation, enforcing preventative guidelines to continue to keep a pest-free work environment, and train/monitor other garden employees in safe and compliant implementation of the IPM Program.
- Ongoing communication with the rest of the Garden Crew Members in regards to scheduling changes, upcoming changes, events, daily goals and tasks
- Quality checks all products related to dried flower going for sale (i.e., trimmed buds, pre-rolls, etc.)
- Scheduling Employees days to work and weekend shifts. Work Weekend shifts as needed. To fill water, complete daily walk throughs and train employees on weekend work shifts.
- Maintaining SDS and ensuring all employees are trained on SDS.
- Tracking Cultivation yields, to determine what cultivars are successful in the facility. And meeting company standards on quality and yield.
- Preform Plant Maintenance on Lower and Upper tiers of tables
- Tracking and implement equipment replacements including but not limited to:
- Cloner Pumps
- Water Filters
- Water lines
- Deep Clean on Fertigation and irrigation systems.
