Elevate Child Care Center LLC is Hiring a Child Care Teacher Near Brewer, ME

Elevate Child Care Center provides services to children ages 2.5-12. We currently have an opening for Full-Time employment for our Full Day PreK and After School Programs. Applicant must be available Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: designing, preparing, and/or implementing lesson plans for PreK classrooms or for group activities and clubs for school-aged children, modeling and teaching appropriate behaviors, general cleaning/tidying, and most importantly, supporting our Elevate families by providing a safe, structured, and loving environment for the children in care.

To be considered for an Assistant Teacher position, applicant must be at least 16 years old and meet the following requirements:

  • Working toward High School Diploma or GED
  • Able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to comply with all applicable rules and laws
  • Able to provide safe and compassionate services
  • Have a history of honest conduct.

To be considered for a Group Leader position, applicant must be at least 18 years old and meet one of the following requirements:

  • Child Development Associate (CDA)
  • Twelve months experience working in a childcare facility licensed for 13 or more children
  • 30 credit hours of college work including a course in a child related subject, plus six months of experience.

To be considered for a Head Teacher position, applicant must be at least 21 years old and meet one of the following requirements:

  • BA / BS in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field
  • BA / BS with 18 credit hours in Early Childhood Education plus three years direct child care experience
  • AA / AS in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field plus three years direct child care experience
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) plus five years direct childcare experience
  • Seven years of experience and 180 hours of training in childcare related topics/subjects.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
