Position Summary:
Under the medical oversight of the Medical Director, and the clinical/administrative supervision of the Chief Clinical Officer, the Residential Therapist provides clinical expertise and oversight of the treatment milieu in identified cottage(s). The Residential Therapist provides clinical supervision to staff, oversees the delivery of treatment services, and provides therapy services.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Provides clinical supervision and oversight of the treatment milieu and model of care in the identified cottage(s), including active involvement in service delivery. Integrates evidence-based practices and interventions into the model of care. Works collaboratively with the Cottage Supervisor to ensure that clinically appropriate services are delivered to eligible students within the residential service definition.
2. Provides battery of assessments, individual, family, and group therapy for students and compiles information into Comprehensive Clinical Assessment with recommendations. Completes documentation of therapy services.
3. Completes monthly PCP/Comprehensive Crisis Plan and CALOCUS for authorization.
4. Facilitates and/or participates in Child and Family Team Meetings. Attends weekly agency team meetings; weekly peer supervision; monthly MDT meetings; and other meetings with stakeholders as applicable.
5. Provides clinical on call services. Communicates with program staff regarding best approaches for specific students in crisis situations. Determines the need for emergency psychiatric assessments and communicates with the local hospital as needed.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Provides in-service clinical training for Eliada staff as scheduled.
2. Ensures the provision of quality services to clients through participation in the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement and Program Evaluation processes.
3. Displays competence and responsiveness to cultural differences in the student and staff population.
4. Participates in trainings to maintain current licensure and to enhance professional development and clinical services provided at Eliada.
5. Performs other related clinical tasks as requested by the Chief Clinical Officer.

Position Reports to: Chief Clinical Officer
Position Supervises: Provides clinical supervision to direct care, program supervisory staff in identified cottage(s).
Requirements
Knowledge: A master’s degree in social work/psychology/counseling, with current licensure in North Carolina. Must meet Qualified Professional standards. Knowledge of diagnostic issues, clinical interventions, group dynamics, interdisciplinary teamwork, and clinical services delivery models.
Experience: A minimum of 2 year's experience in the provision of treatment services such as case management, individual, family and group therapy to children and adolescents. Experience in residential treatment preferred.
Skills/Physical/Working Conditions: Must possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license and be insurable by Eliada’s insurance carriers. Position requires excellent training, supervision, interpersonal, documentation and organizational skills. Position requires on-call duties and some travel. Position requires flexibility with work hours including some evening hours. Weekend work may also be required at times to meet family and program needs.
