Speech Language Pathologist for Special Education School

We're looking for people who care about people. As a Speech Language Pathologist at Elim, you’ll be required to:
- Encourage the development of each child's communication/speech and language to its potential
- Recommend and/or implement the use of AAC (Augmentative Alternative Communication) in all school environments and community outings.
- Develop and fulfill the requirements of the student's Individual Educational Programs (IEP).
- Prepare a weekly schedule that fulfills the requirements of the students' IEP.
- Maintain an IEP on each student listing: long range goals, short range objectives, activities related to these objectives and an evaluation of progress toward these objectives
- Consult and plan with the student's classroom staff concerning their progress in communication development
- Evaluate and prepare required reports for school districts and state.
- Arrange parent/therapist meetings when appropriate to maintain communication with the family.

Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:15 am - 3:15 pm
Includes a 6 week extended school year
