Maintenance Technician

Overview
Accountable for the provision of facilities maintenance and repairs to assure safe, consistent, and efficient operations.

Duties

• Review work orders with supervisor; respond and complete maintenance and repairs for facility, staff and residents in a timely manner.
• Conduct rounds to check lighting, heating and air conditioning, boiler, etc. to assure functionality and safety.
• Inspect and recondition rooms.
• Provide landscaping/grounds maintenance.
• Assure compliance with all regulations.
• Participate in HVAC, equipment, electrical, plumbing, electronic and boiler general maintenance and repairs.
• Participate in disaster preparation and prevention.
• Maintain and clean up grounds.
• Provide on call coverage for maintenance department based on rotating schedule.
• Provide the people we serve with clear opportunities to direct their own lives and decide how they will spend their day.
• Ensure a safe environment for residents and utilize tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Report all hazardous conditions including incidents, injuries, and equipment to the appropriate Supervisor immediately.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, roofing, electronic installations, and heating and air conditioning.
• Understanding of related local, state, and federal regulations.
• Demonstrated communication skills and ability to listen and process others’ points of view.
• In-depth interpersonal skills: demonstrated trust, integrity and compassion.
• Valid Ohio driver's license.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
