ELKHART COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL POSITION VACANCY NOTICE
CLERK
DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Landfill
HIRING RANGE: $19.51-$21.68/hour based on education and position related
experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

POSITION TO BE FILLED: January 2025
HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Monday- Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
April-November Saturday 9:00am to 11:45 am
LOCATION OF POSITION: Elkhart County Landfill
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: None
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for answering telephones, greeting office visitors, and performing a variety of clerical and bookkeeping duties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· High school graduate or equivalent with clerical experience
· Excellent organizational and communications skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures/practices
· Ability to make practical applications of local, state, and federal regulations, Indiana statutes, and standard policies and procedures governing landfill operations as set forth by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management
· Pre-employment background check
