Environmental Health Specialist I
DEPARTMENT: Health Department
HIRING RANGE: $22.12-$31.23/hour and based on education and position related
experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

POSITION TO BE FILLED: ASAP
HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Monday 8 - 5 p.m.; Tuesday - Friday 8 - 4 p.m., Requires some
weekend hours
LOCATION OF POSITION: Public Services Building - Dunlap
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Within County (please complete driving page on application)
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for educating and protecting the public by supporting disease prevention/solutions to environmental problems and providing awareness of activities/behaviors that adversely affect the environment and public health.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health, Biology, Chemical or Physical Science
· Ability to compile, collate, classify, analyze, and evaluate data and take action based on data analysis
· Excellent organizational, communication skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures and practices
· Must be at least 21 years of age
· Pre-employment background check
