PROBATION ASSISTANT-JUVENILE DIVISION
DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Judiciary-Court Services
HIRING RATE: $21.09-$23.43/hour based on education and position related
experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

POSITION TO BE FILLED: ASAP
HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: 40 hour work week
LOCATION OF POSITION: Elkhart

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing caseload management and oversight and maintaining communication with juveniles placed on informal adjustment and 6 months good behavior.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· High School diploma or G.E.D. with preference for associate’s degree in criminal justice or social services
· Excellent organizational and communications skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures/practices
· Knowledge of and ability to make practical application of local, state, and federal regulations/statutes, standard policies and procedures, adult/juvenile criminal code, and legal terminology of criminal justice system
· Must possess a valid driver’s license
· Pre-employment background check/drug screen
