Currently recruiting for a Medical Practice Manager to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing daily operations of a medical practice, and a genuine passion for working with patients, providing excellent care, and building relationships. The position will be responsible for managing and supervising the day-to-day operations of our two medical offices and the staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Oversees the day-to-day operations of the offices, including scheduling, insurance and eligibility verification, referral management, training and managing staff and evaluating staff performance.
● Oversees optimal patient care and clinic flow so that clinical schedules are optimized.
● Handles patient complaints and resolves issues in a timely and professional manner.
● Coordinates patient care with other medical staff members to ensure quality patient care and manages patient billing.
● Ensures that all administrative duties are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
● Ensures compliance with HIPPA and OSHA guidelines at all times.
● Establishes office policies and procedures.
● Works with vendors to maintain and purchase consumables and equipment for the practice.
● Has a very good understanding of payers (commercial, Medicare, IPAs) and works with payers and plans to ensure safe and smooth information exchange.
● Has a very good understanding of billing and serves as liaison between the practice and our billing department.
● Is familiar with healthcare quality metrics (MIPS) and their reporting.
The successful candidate will possess experience in an outpatient setting, ideally with a background in specialty care. Candidates with experience in the fields of endocrinology or diabetes are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a full-time position that will require regular attendance at work, as well as flexibility to work remotely. Part-time can be discussed, also. This position requires a candidate who has significant prior experience in managing a medical practice. Unfortunately, managerial or supervising experience accumulated in other industries (even pharmacy) is absolutely not sufficient for this position, and applications will be rejected.
Pay rates outside of the posted bracket can be discussed for highly qualified individuals. Pay: $75,000 - $100,000 per annum
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
