About the Role:
- The material handler will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and handling of materials and products within our facility.
- Store goods in/remove them from the central warehouse or logistics guided storage locations, as specified, and ensure they are providing on time for the next process step
- Transport goods internally within the company to supply production with, and dispose of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products; empty and package material as specified by the CU(Corporate Unit) and/or BU (Business Unit), and Plant.
- Carry out special transport tasks internally within the company using forklift truck (e.g. tools)
- Implement and comply with internal specifications governing material transfers between SAP MM and SAP WM guided storage locations.
- Correctly dispose of scrap, as per (environmental) guidelines
- Log any discrepancies in quantities in the system for goods returned to stock from Production by counting/weighing them.
- Carry out inventory checks and actively participate in the inventory count at logistics guided storage locations using a defined methodology in SAP as well as the available resources.
- Ensure compliance with the storage strategy as per FIFO
- Check goods from production for any clearly identifiable damage, labeling errors, or in correct packaging
- Inform the manager in the event of any errors or unclear process steps
- Actively participate in providing continuous improvements and solutions to problems within the assigned area, and initiating the relevant measures
- Other duties, as assigned.
About You:
- High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Previous experience in material handling or warehouse role, preferred
- Familiarity with material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks), and safety regulations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting
- Must become forklift certified
