What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Elutions?
Elutions is a rapidly growing Artificial Intelligence company, headquartered in Tampa, FL, with consistent growth in excess of 150%. To help facilitate our continued growth and success, we are looking to hire an experienced Senior Accountant that will oversee all European operations, and report to the Group Finance Director. This position is fully remote and the candidate must speak English (French is an added bonus). The successful candidate will be a hard worker with an attention for detail. This person will be responsible for the accounting operations of the company and must be prepared to work past the normal hours of business, due to global operations. Elutions is looking for an immediate hire.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monthly revenue accounting for all European entities, managing the related deferrals and ensuring timely and accurate revenue recognition within Group accounts each month
- Manage UK&I sales order processing and production of invoices in an accurately and timely manner, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations
- Monthly cost accounting, this will include the accruals, prepayments, fixed assets depreciation and intercompany charges relating to all European entities to ensure accuracy and timeliness in completion of the accounts each month
- Management of the Month End ledger close process
- Recording bank transactions and preparation of Bank Reconciliations (including Credit Card reconciliations) on a weekly basis and finalising by Day 1 of the accounting month end timetable, for review and approval with the Group Finance Director
- Production of Daily Cash report and weekly cashflow forecast, presenting to Group Finance Director / CFO for approval
- Monthly reconciliation of Intercompany accounts, confirming balances between entities and analyzing movements
- Analysis and reconciliation of Inventory movements each month
- To prepare and reconcile European entity sales tax returns on a monthly basis to ensure accurate returns
- Preparation of Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for all European entities including Fixed Assets, Debtors, Prepaids, Inventory, Creditors, Accruals and Taxes, tracking and explaining monthly movements.
- Preparation of the consolidated Group company financial results for presentation to the Executive Board on the 10th of the following month
- To review, confirm and gain approval for all payments of Supplier invoices
- To produce analysis and reporting of Group revenue and costs for review with Group Finance Director
- To manage the payroll process for European employees, preparing the monthly payroll for the Payroll Bureau’s ensuring that all fixed and variable elements of the payroll are processed accurately
- Management of the staff expense claim process for European employees, ensuring the policy is adhered to and payments are actioned in a timely and accurate manner
- To produce a monthly cost allocation of European payroll & expenses
- To be responsible for European entity audit preparation and communication, ensuring that all information is accurate and up to date and that audit timescales are met
- Ensure that all statutory and regulatory accounts and filings are prepared accurately and in a timely manner
- To identify opportunities to improve processes to maximize efficiency and accuracy and reduce risk.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work independently and manage financial reporting deliverables/timelines.
- A minimum of 5 years financial accounting experience.
- Quickbooks experience is a must
- Experience of Sage Accounting is preferred
- Ability to accurately assess individual performance and set appropriate levels of expectations for the accounting team.
- Intercompany transactions experience preferred.
- Experience working with a privately held company preferred.
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively and independently.
- Ability to problem solve, prioritize and multi-task in a very fast-paced environment.
- Needs to have advanced technical ability, as well as detailed experience in Excel spreadsheet software.
- Must be willing to travel, up to 10%.
