Who You Are:
You are an important aspect in maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of the children we serve. As the lead teacher of the classroom, you are responsible for classroom management, activities, arts and crafts, curriculum, meals, skill development, play time, and more! The Lead Teacher is a positive role model for all staff and children. Teachers reinforce positive guidance techniques and model appropriate language and behavior. Teachers have opportunities to develop and grow professionally.
Schedule: Full or Part Time positions are available. EmBe can be flexible with school schedules. We are open 6am – 6pm, Monday through Friday with no nights, weekends, or holidays.
Rooms & Ages:
Babes – 4 weeks to 6 months
Sprouts – 6 months to 12 months
Blossoms – 12 months to 18 months
Explorers – 18 months to 2 years
Creators – 2 – 3 years
Thinkers – 3 years
Inventors – 4 years
Scholars - Preschool
What We’ll Love About You:

- Implement the curriculum/lesson plans developed by the curriculum team.
- Support the children to develop self-regulation, emotional, and support skills.
- Create a stimulating learning environment.
- Asses a child’s development with age-appropriate milestones.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each child along with treating all with dignity and respect.
- Participate in all aspects of the classroom such as:
- Oversee and interact with children’s play.
- Crafts, singing songs, reading books and diapering.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean learning environment inside and outside the classroom.
- Maintain appropriate staff to child ratio, consult with the site manager when substitutes are needed, or children should be moved to other classrooms.
- Accurately provide documentation (such as meal sheets, daily sheets, accident reports, medication sheets, as well as communicate parent information daily via procare and in person
- Engage in parent communication such as:
- Warmly greet each parent and child upon arrival and departure to each classroom.
- Engage in child’s well-being and daily activities.
- Remain up to date on mandatory training hours.
- All other duties as assigned.

What It Takes:
- General knowledge of child growth and development.
- Occasional lifting of 20 to 40 lbs.
- Minimum age of 14 years.
- No substantiated history of child abuse and neglect.
- No staff member will have a felony conviction record on file within the last 5 years.
- No staff member’s name will appear on the sex offender’s registry.
