To be a successful Staff Assistant you must become able to do the following always:
- Perform mailings, copying, faxing, filling, uploading, and other general clerical duties to support the Permanency Services Teams.
- Take meeting minutes as needed. Provide customer service reception support.
- Database maintenance and ensure data entry is accurately entered.
- Deliver mail on a rotating basis.
- Provide services that result in timely and safe achievement of company and state outcomes relevant to the position.
- Ensure child case files contain required information identified in the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Policy and Procedure Manual (PPM).
- Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.
How you will spend your time in this job:
- 60% Clerical
- 20% Database
- 10% Administrative Assistance
- 10% Delivery
To qualify for this job, you need to have:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Work Experience - Prefer successful secretarial or clerical experience involving multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and physical and drug screening.
- Maintain company-required training.
- Ability to travel, driving company or personal vehicle including at night. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally, inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
