Senior Program Underwriter
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Program Underwriter to join our client's dynamic Programs team. In this pivotal role, you will lead key programs, manage relationships, oversee portfolios, and conduct underwriting audits to ensure a profitable book of business. Your expertise in property and casualty underwriting, particularly in professional liability, will be instrumental in assessing new program opportunities and maintaining adherence to underwriting guidelines. This position offers flexibility in location, with opportunities available in Wilkes-Barre, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Parsippany, NJ; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; and Chicago, IL.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Underwriter : Oversee designated insurance programs, ensuring profitability and alignment with company standards.
Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with program collaborators, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
Risk Assessment : Evaluate complex account referrals to ensure they align with the company's risk appetite and provide guidance on risk selection.
Compliance Audits : Conduct thorough underwriting audits on existing programs to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
Performance Monitoring : Analyze program performance metrics and recommend updates to guidelines to enhance profitability.
Program Development : Collaborate with senior management to evaluate and develop new program opportunities, especially those involving professional liability.
Growth Support : Contribute to the expansion of the programs business by assuming additional responsibilities as new programs are introduced and developed.
Qualifications
Experience : 5 to 7 years in commercial property and casualty underwriting, with a focus on professional liability. Experience in program business and social services accounts is advantageous.
Stakeholder Engagement : Proven ability to manage and nurture relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
Communication Skills : Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying complex information clearly and professionally.
Audit Proficiency : Experience in conducting underwriting file audits and ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
Profitability Focus : Demonstrated commitment to achieving profitability and effectively managing risk portfolios.

Salary Range
60,000.00-$125,000.00 USD
The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and / or training.
The successful candidate is expected to work in one of our offices 3 days per week and also be available for travel as required.
