Triangle Surgery Center (TSC) is a state-of-the-art Orthopedic Facility designed with patients in mind. Same-day, minimally invasive surgical care takes place in a timely, professional manner within an intimate setting.
The primary objective of this position is to assure the delivery of comprehensive, safe, effective, and appropriate nursing care for patients across the age continuum (2 years – geriatric) in accordance with established surgery center policy, nursing practice standards. Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the registered nurse is responsible for the care and safety of the patient while in the pre-operative and recovery areas. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care with staff in the surgery suite, preoperative patient assessment and prep including IV and medication administration, regional block assistance to anesthesia, and post anesthesia care. Demonstrates competency in identifying physiological symptoms and taking appropriate action within the NC Board of Nursing scope of practice.
Hours: Flexible 10-hour shifts between the hours of 6 am and 7 pm.
Training & Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing is required
- Current nursing licensure in the State of North Carolina is required
- Must be able to communicate and understand the English language both verbal and written
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
- ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 6 months of employment
Experience:
- A minimum of 1-year experience in the ER, PACU, or ICU is required
- Previous ambulatory care, critical care or surgical nursing is preferred
- Ability to be flexible and take on new responsibilities
