Human Resources Generalist
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for assisting the current HR Generalist in oversight and performance of all HR-related duties on a professional level, and in an organized and proficient manner. The HR Generalist works closely with fellow Executives and Administrators in supporting the Organization’s compliance and functional areas. This position carries out responsibilities in functional areas: new and current employee onboarding, training, organization communication, organization compliance. The ideal candidate will be SHRM certified or on track for certification.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and assistance with State, Federal, and HR regulations and laws
- Full knowledge of Organization’s Vision, Mission, Policies, and Procedures
- Highly communicative, organized, and available team member
- Employee Credentials: Assists with audits, oversight, and enforcement notifications.
- Resolving Conflicts: Resolve conflicts through positive and professional mediation. Offer training, counseling, and coaching staff within the human resources sector and according to applicable human resource policies and procedures
- Website Marketing: Assist in Organization website maintenance, job postings, advertisements, and marketing materials
- Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.
- Training and Development: Assist in organizing training programs, training records, and support employee development initiatives as well as certification goals of the organization.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in policy implementation, adherence, and agency-wide policy announcements and roll out. Assisting in ensuring Policy storage sites are current, organized, and accessible to appropriate personnel.
- Documentation Support: Creating clear and concise reports and memos. Completing and submitting employee written warnings to the HR Generalist for sign-off. Assistance with annual announcements and alerts.
- Assistance to the HR Generalist: Assisting the HR Generalist with calendar maintenance, meeting notes, serving as a witness during HR meetings.
- HR Reporting: Maintain and analyze HR metrics, prepare reports for Executive review, identify areas for improvement.
- Positive Workplace: Promotes a positive workplace culture enabling each employee to perform effectively, in alignment with Emmaus Home’s mission and vision
- Maintaining workplace privacy and HIPAA compliance
- HR Policy and Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and maintain accurate records and reporting standards.
- Positive Workplace: Promotes a positive workplace culture enabling each employee to perform effectively, in alignment with Emmaus Home’s mission and vision
- Backup Plan Role and compliance with policy
Requirements:
- SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business, or other related field and 1 year of experience
- Associates Degree in human resources, business, or other related field and 3 years of experience
- Highly responsive and reliable with emails, calls, and collaborations
- Respectful individual whose attitude and values align with holistic values
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
- Ability to separate professional and personal/biased relationships
- Knowledge of privacy laws, health and safety laws, and DHS/ODP regulations
- Experienced and knowledge of various technology applications
- Positive, energetic, and motivated attitude
- Maintains professionalism, detail oriented, and utilizes virtual calendar & reminders to meet deadlines
- Passes exclusion check
- Highly flexible and communicative
- PA State criminal background check with no record
- Pre-employment Physical, TB test
- Drivers license, registration, inspection, and auto-insurance
- Completion and competency of pre-hire orientation
