Additionally, this individual will be asked to mentor and train employees and ensure that best practices are distributed among teams. The individual will help in new equipment installation, product testing and training development as well as additional tasks within the measurement group.

The Analyzer Technician role will consist of, but not be limited to the following responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot complex measurement issues in the field
- Operate, repair, test, troubleshoot, adjust and/or install bench and on-line, portable process gas/liquid chromatograph equipment, used in the natural gas industry
- Plan and participate in complex equipment installation processes
- Schedule, complete, and witness chromatograph test
- Perform mechanical functions and duties of inspecting, checking, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing all mechanical equipment to maintain high levels of safe and productive equipment performance
- Acquire information on-site using stain tubes or electronic devices for obtaining H2S, CO2, O2, water content and nitrogen
- Install, operate, and maintain gas and liquid sampling and sample conditioning systems
- Mentor employees in measurement principles and practices, including administering instructional guidance
- Improve the reliability of the gas chromatographs currently in use at the plants and on the pipeline system
- Assist in important measurement decisions with Measurement management and engineers concerning equipment type, usage, and implementation
- Staying abreast of new developments concerning measurement topics and equipment, including routine procedural review to deliver optimal results
- Support maintaining schedules and ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner there are other tech that will be doing analyzer calibrations in the field and those tech will need help from time to time so supporting the other Analyzer tech and meter tech.
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- Associate’s degree in related field, preferred
- 5-10 years’ work experience within the natural gas industry, preferred
- Strong knowledge of gas chromatograph, operations, electronics, and gas chemistry
- Ability to properly collect gas and NGL samples
- Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, including the ability to negotiate, persuade, and engage stakeholders, employees, and teams
- Ability to be on-call and work overtime, required
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficient computer skills
- Must pass pre-employment and subject to random DOT drug testing
- Capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of vigorous outdoor activities and have manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, walking on catwalks, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment
