What You’ll Do
As a Family Nurse Practitioner at EPIC, you’ll deliver holistic, patient-centered care in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Patient Care
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including physical exams and health histories.
- Diagnose medical conditions and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Prescribe therapies, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to improve health outcomes.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, EKGs, and lab work.
- Provide therapeutic procedures, including immunizations, wound care, suturing, and infection management.
Patient Education and Support
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, wellness strategies, and treatment plans.
- Counsel on family planning, normal growth and development, and emotional well-being.
- Offer guidance for managing chronic conditions and preventive care.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, psychologists, physical therapists, and care coordinators.
- Provide support during complex medical procedures and surgeries when needed.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of technicians and support staff.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate medical records, progress notes, and diagnostic test results in the EMR.
- Ensure timely ordering of medical and laboratory supplies.
What You Bring
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted Michigan Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
- Education: Master’s degree from an accredited NP program.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in primary care or pediatrics preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong clinical expertise with a patient-first mindset.
- Ability to diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
- Proficient in interpreting diagnostic tests and EMR systems.
