ERG Power Design is Hiring a Manufacturing Assembler Near Matoaka, WV

Job Number: WYAQ001

  • For 1st or 2nd shift

Description: Assemble parts and subassemblies for power transformers. Reads diagrams, blueprints and assembly instructions. Positions components and parts manually or with overhead crane. Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts. Conducts quality control checks. Wears PPE.

Responsibilities:

· Assemble materials.

· Read drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders

· Use hand tools, power tools or machines to assemble parts

· Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, cables, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, crimping, soldering or micro-welding equipment.

· Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments · Test functional performance. Correct defects

· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and rules

Assembler Skills:

Required:

· Electrical Power Equipment Assembly Experience.

· Ability to interpret blueprints.

· Ability to follow all safety practices.

· Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions.

· Able to use basic hand and power tools.

· Ability to grasp, manipulate and assemble large and sometimes very small components

· Able to work in all types of environmental conditions including heat, cold, dust, oil and vapor.

· Ability to work in confined spaces.

· Have a positive attitude, work well with others and support a continuous improvement environment.

Preferred: Knowledge of electrical concepts

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
