Chief Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Chief Estimator to lead our estimating department. This role involves setting goals, improving profitability, and ensuring efficient operations while fostering team development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Operations Manager and owners to establish and review yearly, quarterly, and monthly estimating goals
• Analyze hit ratios and strategically determine profitable bids
• Oversee staff levels and coordinate training for the estimating team
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and follow up on bid results
• Review bids for completeness and accuracy; define scope, inclusions, and exclusions
• Create an estimator handbook and enforce standard procedures
• Maintain statistics on job bids and report to the Commercial Operations Manager
• Provide training on bid policies and relevant software (e.g., Accubid, BlueBeam)
• Lead weekly estimator meetings to assign jobs and review performance
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or relevant experience estimating in an electrical contracting environment
• Minimum of 10 years of estimating experience; with at least 5 years in a senior or lead estimator role
• Proficient in estimating software, particularly Accubid Anywhere
• Strong analytical and leadership skills
  
  

Compensation:

• $120k-$135k
