School Improvement: Team-oriented attitude and desire to work collaboratively with ESC staff, and external campus leaders Ability to lead change within and across departments Ensures LEAs meet the grant program requirements for the School Improvement Grant and/or the Effective Schools Framework Facilitation Grant Has a deep understanding ofTexas School Accountability  Cultivates relationships and designs professional learning for campus leaders and District Coordinators of School Improvement (DCSIs) Ability to coach and support district and campus leaders in developing an improvement plan aligned to  rigorous goals, and develops systems and structures to support the implementation of district and campus plans In-depth knowledge of campus leaders’ roles as instructional leaders, including critical instructional leadership tasks such as observation/feedback cycles, data analysis, and professional development Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective Schools Framework Diagnostics:  Ability to analyze and synthesize data and other authentic instructional artifacts to assess leadership proficiency  Ability to self-reflect, apply feedback, and continuously improve Strong organizational and time management skills Strong verbal and written skills Texas Instructional Leadership (TIL):  Ability to effectively communicate with designated campus and district leaders, including senior-level district leaders to identify appropriate TIL levers to support improvement efforts aligned to TIL levers and Effective Schools Framework/Targeted Improvement Plan priorities  Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to cultivate and sustain trusting and collaborative relationships with district staff including senior-level district administrators Ability to lead through influence when coaching campus and district leaders Support induction and change management efforts Support district leaders with the implementation of lever-specific TIL practices Knowledge and experience in  ♦ Sound, demonstrated understanding of TEKS-based instruction  Knowledge  of high quality instructional materials to support districts implementing such materials alongside other initiatives or TIL levers Knowledge and use of research based instructional strategies to support implementation in a district alongside other initiatives or TIL levers ♦ Coaching  ♦  Pedagogy  ♦ Lesson Design ♦ Content/Specialization Knowledge  ♦ Diverse Learners  Campus Turnaround Created and implemented instructional improvement plans Coaching Administrators Leading Successful Technology & Integration Initiatives State and Federal Accountability Continuous Improvement Process Developing Targeted Improvement Plans Effective Schools Framework ♦ Principal/Central Office Supervisory Experience, or state/TEA training in leading  successful transformational change to include the following demonstrated proficiencies: ○ T-TESS/T-TPESS   ○ PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention System) and/or Restorative Discipline ○ Data Analysis/Assessments  ○ PLCs  ○ Walkthrough Calibration  ○ Campus Turnaround  ○ Created and implemented instructional improvement plans  ○ Coaching Administrators  ○ Leading Successful Technology & Integration Initiatives  ○ Texas Instructional Leadership  ○ Formative Assessments  ○ Evidence of Improvement  ○ Effective Schools Framework  ○ High-quality curriculum  ○ LEA Governance and Board Coaching  Supervisory Duties  None  Equipment / Specialized Software Used  Computers, projection devices, control panels in meeting rooms, printers, productivity software,  software specific to the job assignment, network resources, Internet resources, and other  hardware and software necessary to effectively and efficiently perform the functions of the job.  Working Conditions (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors) Mental: Public relations and people skills are required at all times, work with frequent  interruptions, and maintain professional composure under stress.  Physical: Occasional prolonged and irregular hours, ability to move tables and chairs and load  and unload boxes/materials. Prolonged use of computer.  Environmental: Open cubicles/workstations.  Evaluation  Annual performance evaluation will be performed in accordance with adopted policies of the  Education Service Center Region 11.
