WAREHOUSE/INVENTORY ASSOCIATE
About Escapod
Escapod Trailers is one of the fastest-growing off-road camper manufacturers in the country. Based in Coalville, UT, we are looking for a full-time Warehouse/Inventory Associate to join our production team.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase order receiving and documentation
- Be able to inspect all incoming materials for damage, refuse shipments if necessary, accurately count all material received and put items away in the correct location in the shop.
- Receive all acceptable material into Fishbowl, our inventory management system, and document any refused shipments.
- Correctly document all outsourced material and check for quality of service.
- Complete inventory runs to Salt Lake to pick up orders in person.
- Must be friendly and considerate and be a positive representation of Escapod.
- Be able to drive a box truck and truck/trailer combination safely in mountain conditions.
- Kitting
- Assemble material kits for all areas of mainline manufacturing daily
- Transfer parts within Fishbowl for accurate location tracking
- Inventory Monitoring
- Monitor inventory levels and alert the purchasing when items are getting low and there are no open orders in the system or when open orders are placed on backorder potentially causing a disruption to production.
- Perform regular cycle counts to ensure
- Work with the Supply Chain Manager to keep Fishbowl data up to date. Data areas include vendor information, part locations, part mins/maxes.
- Interact professionally with a variety of people including other Escapod employees and Vendors.
- Maintain a clean working environment
- assist the craftsman in keeping their areas organized for easier inventory management.
- Keep the warehouse organized and clean
- Other inventory related projects and responsibilities as they arise.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Clean driving record and minimum age of 25 (due to insurance policy requirements on our company vehicles).
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs safely
- Must be able to drive a Dodge 2500 diesel, comfortably tow a fully loaded 20’ flatbed trailer, and safely secure and remove a variety of materials on the trailer. Be comfortable driving up and down the canyons between Coalville and Salt Lake City.
- Must be able to drive a 30ft enclosed box truck (CDL not required)
- Meticulous attention to detail and be deadline oriented.
- Be able to clearly communicate (both verbally and written) in English
- Comfortable working on a computer and moving around in both a manufacturing and front office environment.
- Must be able to problem solve, figure stuff out, and conduct research independently--be solutions oriented!
- High School diploma or GED
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Fishbowl inventory systems a plus
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Kanban restocking systems
- Comfortable driving a forklift (formal on-site training will be provided upon hiring but already knowing how to operate a forklift is helpful)
- Be cool and collected under pressure. Be able to handle fluctuating levels of stress
