Job Summary:
The Construction Payroll Assistant is responsible for supporting the payroll department in processing payroll for construction workers, ensuring compliance with company policies, union agreements, and government regulations. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information while maintaining accuracy in payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing weekly or bi-weekly payroll for construction employees, including timekeeping and wage calculations.
- Collect, review, and verify timesheets, job codes, and hours worked for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws, union agreements, certified payroll requirements, and tax regulations.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and garnishments.
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports as required for government
