Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and other imaging modalities, to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly in emergency medicine settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray examinations and other imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Operate imaging equipment, including X-ray, CT, PET scan, and mammography machines.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and imaging results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret diagnostic evaluations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure.
- Assist in emergency situations by providing timely imaging services in the ER.
- Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and techniques.
Qualifications
- Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure to practice as an X-ray Technician.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to radiology and diagnostic imaging.
- Experience with various imaging modalities such as CT, nuclear medicine, PET scans, and mammography is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work under pressure in emergency medicine settings while maintaining professionalism.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $44.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
