Position Overview:

We’re looking for a skilled Blockchain Engineer to join our innovative and growing team at Ether.fi! In this role, you’ll work on both backend development and smart contract design, contributing to a wide range of projects that push the boundaries of decentralized technology in the crypto space. Our team thrives on collaboration, curiosity, and solving meaningful challenges. This role is onsite out of one of our locations 4x per week. We have offices in Toronto, Denver, and the Cayman Islands.

What you will do:

  • Design and develop smart contracts and decentralized applications using Solidity. Improve and Secure ether.fi’s exciting products including staking, restaking, yield vaults management, crypto credit card systems
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems using Golang or Python. Automate the protocol operations
  • Manage and optimize relational databases, including PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate blockchain functionalities and ensure seamless, end-to-end system performance.
  • Implement and maintain API services, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.
  • Apply best practices for code development, including automated testing, code review, and documentation.
  • Manage AWS resources/pipelines/infra.
  • Optimize the performance of the smart contracts and the overall system.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in blockchain technology and propose new ideas for improvement.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3-4 years industry experience in both backend development using a modern programming language (ie python, golang) and in Solidity with a solid portfolio of deployed smart contracts and DApps.
  • Familiarity with blockchain technologies, smart contracts, and decentralized applications (DApps) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), AWS, and infrastructure as code, is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly.
