Position Overview: We are seeking a Client Development Director to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in growing our existing client relationships and expanding our client base across multiple markets, including Plattsburgh, NY; Northern Vermont; Albany, NY; and Tampa, FL. A successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, reaching out to prospective and current clients, managing existing accounts and promoting both commercial/contract-to-hire and direct-hire staffing services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Generate and qualify leads through research, market analysis, and outreach activities. Maintain an organized database of leads and track interactions using Bullhorn CRM software.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present proposals and service agreements to prospective clients. Negotiate terms and close deals to achieve sales targets.
- Client Acquisition: Proactively reach out to prospective clients in the light-industrial, manufacturing, warehousing, and office/administrative sectors through various channels, including cold calls, emails, and networking events.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients. Understand their staffing needs and provide tailored solutions to meet those needs effectively.
- Account Management: Manage and facilitate the day-to-day presentation and placement of talent from fulfillment teams at partner companies.
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the VP of Sales to execute sales strategies and achieve business development goals. Identify key market trends and opportunities to expand our service offerings.
- Market Intelligence: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of internal recruiting process and workflow, leveraging the expertise of the fulfillment team into a strong sales pitch and value add proposition. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors. Use this knowledge to provide insights and recommendations for improving our services and strategies.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics to the VP of Sales. Prepare reports and presentations as needed.
- Training and Development: Participate in extensive training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge of our services, sales techniques, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: Proven experience in sales, business development, or a similar role. Experience in staffing and recruiting is not required.
- Skills:
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Sales and negotiation abilities.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to business development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

Compensation:
- Base Salary: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
- On-Target Earnings (OTE), Year 1: Can expect $80-120k for successful associates, with potential for additional performance-based bonuses and incentives.
- On-Target Earnings (OTE), Year 2: Can expect $120-150k for successful associates, with potential for additional performance-based bonuses and incentives.
