ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following.
Intervention Specialist F/T
Location: ECH School
- Supervised intervention team in a school for students who struggle with trauma and express that trauma through Behavior acting out.
- Be actively involved in treatment decisions and interventions for students to de-escalate behaviors and return students to classrooms
- Supervise the paraprofessionals in classrooms.
- Supervise the trauma-informed care provided by the team in the school.
- Maintain a small caseload of students.
- Work closely with teachers to develop and maintain the behavior intervention plans for students and establish benchmarks and strategies to intervene with students.
- Establish and coordinate team meetings regarding students who are struggling and in need of changes in trauma-informed care and intervention plans.
- Involvement in student check-in and release at the beginning of the day and end of the day.
- Work closely with residential staff to ensure students are dressed appropriately
- Coordinate with residential staff when students are not in attendance
- Make regular calls to family when day students are not in attendance.
- Coordinate with team interventions and strategies to maintain students in classroom.
- Assist with coordinating and proctoring the ASEBA testing.
- Additional duties as necessary to maintain the care of students in the school.
- Assist with the coordination of events and interventions provided for families of day treatment students
- Salary is based on an 11 month work year following the annual calendar.
- Vacations are given based on the school calendar
