Position Summary:
Aggressively solicit program contracts, projects and orders from existing and prospective customers for the profitable sale of the company’s OEM products and services. Develop and maintain relationships with the customer as the primary external company liaison.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prospect and open new OEM customers (primary focus on plastics) within the assigned sales territory and/or area of responsibility. Specific focus will be on capabilities provided by the Elkhorn manufacturing facility.
· Solicit new OEM programs, products, services, etc. to increase the sales volume and profitability of existing OEM accounts within assigned sales territory and/or area of responsibility, as assigned/directed by the General Manager.
· Vigorously carry out the Company’s marketing and sales plans.
· Utilize appropriate resources, in accordance with the guidelines outlined by General Manager including
presentations, models and samples.
· Represent the company in the sale of its products and services.
· Provide complete project information to all internal departments (i.e. Design, Installation Services, Client Services, Engineering, Estimating, etc.) through applicable project entry procedures and systems.
· Maintain primary sales role with assigned existing accounts, having a mindset to develop new products and services, and a continued sales growth metric.
· Assume a support role to Client Services Account Management for existing, day-to-day business and service with accounts.
· Maintain the Sales CRM System with accurate, timely and complete territory data.
· Develop quotations for customers from estimates provided under project request system.
· Manage Everbrite and customer inventory consistent with corporate goals to reduce inventory and investment and increase inventory turn.
· Provide the necessary sales order information to properly process sales order and manufacture product.
· Work with Client Services to coordinate any additional information requirements with customers to ensure that complete information is provided for overall account setup, management and order entry. Assist in the new customer onboarding process.
· Work closely with Client Services and Manufacturing to coordinate with customers on any problems or complaints, and ensure their handling and resolution is to the customers’ and company’s satisfaction.
· Develop and adapt standard company products to customers’ needs to standardize requirements and specifications whenever possible.
· Prepare sales forecasts under established Company guidelines.
· Prepare and submit weekly reports, itineraries, etc. as directed by the Company.
· Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions and trade shows as directed.
· Inform the General Manager of competitors’ systems and procedures of which you may become aware, providing information to Client Services and Manufacturing personnel, as applicable.
· Recommend new products, modifications of existing products and deletion of obsolete items as you deem appropriate.
Educational Requirements / Experience:
· College graduate in business or related field of study or equivalent years of related experience. Engineering and Design knowledge of plastic parts is preferred.
· Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in sales or a minimum of two years’ experience in OEM/Plastics Industry sales.
· Must exhibit traits that exemplify ability to execute superior sales performance, be goal-oriented and have basic understanding of manufacturing materials and processes used by the company.
· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be literate in Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
· Ability to drive an automobile and maintain a valid drivers’ license to fulfill sales presentations and client meetings.
