We are committed to creating and sustaining a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion (DEI) and are focused on creating a joyful, inclusive and successful organization.    Job Title:  Retail Store Manager    Salary Range: $70,000-80,000   Location: Snohomish & Skagit County Locations   About the Position The Store Manager is responsible for the overall cultural and financial health of the business unit for which they have responsibility.  The Store Manager must consistently support the business through the team, demonstrating strong understandings of team support, customer service and retail knowledge.   Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Ensure the financial health of the business unit; achieve/overachieve gross revenue and net revenue goals by driving sales and managing expenses Understand operational metrics; implement plans to achieve goals Discuss the operations and results of the business with fluidity and knowledge Maximize sales through proper stock rotation, merchandising, signage, identification of e-commerce merchandise and inventory levels of new and used goods Assure a continuous flow of product through production support and partnership with inventory and new goods; provide the customer with an excellent assortment Inspire and actively engage in excellent customer service; both internal and external Develop strong working relationships throughout the enterprise; partner effectively Attract, hire, develop, inspire and retain top talent; active in succession planning Champion diversity, equity and inclusion; promote the talent and voices of all people Ensure compliance of Seattle Goodwill policies and procedures; People and Culture, Finance, Asset Protection, Finance, Risk and Safety, Customer Service, New Goods, Inventory and Merchandising. Uphold safe work practices in support of a safety culture through awareness and observation; train and educate employees of safety requirements; reports any potential hazards or accidents. Perform any other duties as assigned.    Supervisory Responsibilities:   Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Goodwill’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Partner with People Relations as needed and appropriate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalency, college degree preferred. Retail leadership experience of 3 years. Experience leading a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment. Must be able to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs. Skilled understanding of budget metrics. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to develop and motivating teams to success. Proven track record in driving sales, profit margin, and P&L reports. Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: Must have valid Washington Driver’s license and proof of insurance along with good driving record. Computer/Technology Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job.   Physical Abilities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to lift and carry 20-30 pounds; have developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers; standing for long periods, frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing; climbing ladders; able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain). Ability to operate computer systems. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those who have limited English skills. Maintain reliable attendance.   Essential Mental/Sensory Abilities:   Coaching and leadership skills Organizing, sorting, categorizing, counting, adding, subtracting Problem solving Strong verbal and written communication skills Analyzing and interpreting data Time management Prioritization   Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to noise levels consistent with a retail environment and common in a mid-decibel level production environment. Occasionally the individual may work outside.
