About this Opportunity:
A Heavy Assembler is responsible for assembling fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and completing units. Assembles and builds products or components as assigned by following written and verbal instructions. They ensure the components fit, test them, and calibrate mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. This is an entry level position reporting to and works with the Production Manager.

Womack Group is headquartered in Farmers Branch, TX with additional offices in TX, UT, AL, AZ, MT, OK, MA, MI IN, IL, OH and Canada. This position will be based out of our Noblesville, IN facility.

Requirements:PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble, test, service, weld, and paint hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and miscellaneous engineered systems.
- Build hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems as designed by Engineering.
- Weld components with MIG, TIG or ARC as required.
- Perform a variety of pipe fitting tasks, including layout, pipe threading, tube bending and pipe welding.
- Test, repair, and service Systems (Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Lubrication systems)
- Ability to understand and follow schematic, mechanical, and bill of material documentation.
- Crain, Hilo, Bridgeport, and lathe usage.
- Responsible for system assembly, taking multiple components and building a system such as hydraulic power units, pneumatic panels or manifold assemblies.
- Painting of assembled systems.
- Testing of system with data acquisition.
- Field troubleshooting.
- Foster a positive team environment by assisting co-workers.
- Follow quality standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
- High School Degree or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred hydraulic experience. Entry level or hands on experience working with farm equipment machinery.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Resolving assembled systems problems associated with testing.
- Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings (Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Lubrication)
- Problem solving skills regarding hydraulic circuitry.
- Knowledge of MIG, TIG and ARC welding techniques.
- High Pressure Pipe Welding experience a plus
- Precise attention to detail
