Job Details
The Employee Communications Specialist will be responsible for supporting a variety of internal communications and employee engagement activities to reach stakeholders located across multiple physical locations and remotely across the country. The ideal candidate must be an exceptional communicator, writer, relationship-builder and strategic thinker with a strong creative and problem-solving mindset.
Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of internal organizational, change management and employee communications programs to engage employees and heighten their level of business understanding and engagement.
Own regular employee communications from concept to development, including newsletters, department/team newsletters and manager communications. This includes identifying, writing and editing content.
Develop communications for key initiatives including Employer Brand, Rewards, Diversity & Inclusion, Wellness and Training to ensure content is on brand, informative and engaging.
Manage company intranet sites and/or other online and digital communications platforms.
Work with the Sr. Manager of Employee Communications to support employee engagement initiatives, including appreciation events.
Develop/execute campaigns to reinforce AnewHealth as a Great Place to Work and drive a culture of recognition.
Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are thoughtfully and successfully communicated to colleagues and stakeholders.
Handle sensitive, confidential corporate communications, initiatives and/or projects.
Embody AnewHealth’s Core Values in all communications and interactions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field.
Required: 3-5 years of direct experience in internal communications.
Strongly Preferred: Experience managing Microsoft SharePoint and/or intranet platforms.
Proven ability to create and implement comprehensive communications programs that support a corporate strategy and drive an engaging employee experience.
Demonstrated exceptional copywriting and editing skills.
Skills & Abilities
Strongly Preferred: Previous experience using project management software (e.g. Monday.com)
Preferred: Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneDrive).
Solid understanding of AP style.
Ability to write for a variety of channels and audiences.
Strategic thinking, independent judgement, and sound decision-making skills.
Experience with managing multiple projects at once; strong multi-tasking skills; detail-oriented.
Experience measuring the success/ROI of employee communications programs.
An eye for using visual design to support the development of clear messages.
Ability to directly support stakeholders/build consultative relationships at all levels of an organization (e.g. receiving requests for communications, interpreting "need to know" for employees, and translating into clear, concise communications).
Ability to work within deadlines and deliver on expected results.
Travel
Travel may be required for special organization or department events, department team meetings, trade shows, conferences, and other client engagements.
