Key Responsibilities:
System Design: Create detailed automation designs and architecture including control systems, programming, and integration of automated equipment.
Implementation: Oversee the installation and commissioning of automation systems and ensure they meet necessary specifications and safety standards.
Programming: Write and debug programs for PLCs, HMIs, and other automation hardware/software.
Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing of automated systems to identify issues and validate performance against requirements.
Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance procedures for automated systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and IT, to optimize existing processes and develop new automation solutions.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of automation projects, processes, and protocols.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in existing processes and automation technologies, implementing changes as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in automation engineering, control systems, or related roles.
Technical Skills: Proficient in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Python, or C , and familiar with PLC programming and HMI development.
Software Knowledge: Experience with automation software, such as SCADA systems and other data acquisition tools.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a keen ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle challenges in dynamic environments.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
Certifications: Certification in Automation or Control Systems (e.g., ISA Certified Automation Professional) is a plus.
