Position Summary
The Supply Chain Director is the senior leader and decision maker for the department covering supply, logistics, warehousing, scheduling, material handling, and distribution. This position is responsible for the company securing goods for production and supplying goods to the customer. The Supply Chain Director is committed to improving supplier performance, reducing cost, delivering on time and in full, and improving cash conversion. This position is the decision maker for the Supply Chain Department. The department will also drive the MRP system for the company and ensure strong data integrity. Success in this role will depend on relationship management with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders with operations, quality, finance, and IT being the primary keys to success. This position will support sales and marketing to support dynamic customer demand and custom requests. Key metrics: OTIF, cash conversion, supplier quality, supply chain costs, and inventory accuracy.
Job Responsibilities
· Direct the day-to-day responsibilities and duties of personnel within the supply chain department.
· Manage Cycle count and physical inventory system to ensure inventory accuracy.
· Oversee supplier selection and relationship management. Drive appropriate supply contracts and manage appropriate terms and conditions.
· Responsible for purchase price variance and direct material cost control.
· Assist operations with real time performance visibility with material loss and usage variances.
· Manage transportation and logistics with incoming supply, internal movements, and delivery to the customer. Also manage supply for equipment supply such as spare parts and reactive maintenance needs.
· Direct internal material handling to ensure easy availability and material flow management by operations.
· Manage warehouse activities. Oversee material on hold transactions when directed from the Quality Department.
· Responsible for overall supplier quality. Drive performance improvements from the supply base. Responsible for selecting supply base, approving alternate supply for risk management, and replacing suppliers when necessary.
· Responsible for MRP system data integrity and efficient transactions for both direct materials and MRO. This includes the inventory system for spare parts and consumables.
· Drive company cost reductions as they relate to the Supply Chain Department.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Must be able to climb stairs, must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs, and walk while carrying items.
Education Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred and a minimum of ten (10) years working experience in a related manufacturing industry is Required. In addition a minimum of five (5) years prior management experience Preferred.
