Position Summary:
The Engineer is responsible lead individual production line’s operation, maintenance, installation, and upgrade.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform experiments to support the manufacturing process
- Draft technical documents supporting manufacturing process development
- Train mechanics and operators on new and incoming equipment
- Teach other engineers technical processes as is relevant with individual’s skill set
- Work well and efficiently with people from a diverse set of cultures, backgrounds, and educational levels
- Communicate effectively with all team members both verbal and in written form.
- Perform tasks as stated in relevant SOP’s
- Follow Good Documentation Practice
- Identify personal deficiencies and ask for assistance where appropriate
- Create SOPs for operators and new incoming equipment
- Work directly with other departments in the interpretation of technical documentation and equipment capabilities
- Lead entire individual Change Controls
- Lead non-technical groups through technical operations
- Improve existing processes in order to improve plant efficiency
- Design, build, and maintain solutions to maintain and maximize plant operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Technical proficiency in current Good Manufacturing Practices
- Technical proficiency in facility drawings, equipment general arrangement drawings, P&IDs
- Must be flexible to work multiple shifts (Day, Swing, Graveyard) including the weekends as needed
- Basic computer skills in addition to knowledge and/or experience with programmable logic controllers / Distributed Control Systems is desirable
- Desired familiarity with PMS (Particle Measuring Systems) and air monitoring systems, water systems, HVAC equipment and systems, compressors, air/gas supply and distribution, plant and clean steam generation and distribution, refrigeration equipment, vacuum systems, and waste collection/drainage systems, etc
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma, 2 year Associates degree preferred
- 3 years Pharmaceutical or other FDA regulated experience
Brownfield/Greenfield experience desired
