What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metrology Technician position at Extreme Engineering Solutions?
Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is looking for a detail-oriented Metrology Technician to ensure our products meet all quality standards. This day shift team member will assist with monitoring the calibrated equipment system, including maintaining the equipment database and records, coordinating both on-site and off-site calibrations, performing on-site equipment verifications. When not working on metrology tasks the right candidate will use a combination of their technical and communication skills to support the Quality and Process Department.
Metrology Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains the calibration database and records.
- Supports on-site and off-site equipment calibrations.
- Performs on-site equipment verifications.
- Supports equipment purchases, RMAs, and repairs.
- Maintains department reports and metrics.
- Supports the equipment needs of multiple cross functional teams.
- Communicate with internal customers about the status of their equipment.
- Support, investigate, and document equipment out of specification and failures instances.
- Write and update verification procedures.
