Responsibilities

As an Electrical Project Manager, your key responsibility will be to serve as a key team member associated with providing administrative and technical expertise for electrical and controls work on selected projects.  This position works closely with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent to ensure the successful completion of the electrical systems. 

A.     Pre-Construction

  • Assist in the scope of work preparation and pre-award interviews.
  • Development of electrical bid packages.
  • Provide budget review and value analysis.
  • Provide constructability review and recommendations.
  • Coordination with the design team during design phase.

 B.       Construction

  • Perform work plans, schedules, and budget reviews.
  • Develop and track schedules.
  • Provide field coordination among trades and subcontractors.
  • Troubleshoot field problems.
  • Work with Quality Inspectors and review all installed work.
  • Troubleshoot electrical field problems.
  • Coordinate and assist with:
  1. Witness systems testing
  2. Local building authority inspections
  3. Commissioning of systems

  C.       Demonstrate a working knowledge of:

  • Electrical high and low voltage systems
  • Integrated systems including fire alarm and security systems.
  • Electrical gear and equipment
  • Temperature controls and other control systems

What it takes

  • 5-10 years of construction experience in the electrical trades, design industry or field construction with hands-on experience installing electrical systems.
  • OSHA 30 Certified.
