Facing Forward to End Homelessness (Facing Forward) ends the cycle of homelessness for families and individuals by offering hope, help, and housing. We first ensure that our clients have a safe, stable home, and then we empower them as they lead a forward-facing life. We also offer case management, healthcare, referrals for substance abuse treatment and mental health issues, education, and job training. Facing Forward gives the tools our clients need to reclaim their lives.

COMPENSATION AND HOW TO APPLY

• The salary range is $45,515 - $50,461 depending on experience and skills.

SCHEDULE

• This position is a hybrid position, alternating remote work two days a week with work three days a week at alternating sites: 642 N Kedzie Ave., Chicago, IL., 60612. Free street parking.
• 9 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday, evening and weekend work as needed.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Finance Administrator is responsible for supporting the Finance Department by completing work in:

• General ledger, Bookkeeping,
• Accounts receivable, Accounts payable activities,
• Other monthly accounting, payroll, and administrative tasks.

• Have at least an associate degree or equivalent work experience and certifications.
• Have one to two years accounting experience (non-profit experience strongly preferred)
  1. Familiarity with financial regulations (i.e., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and database skills
  3. Knowledgeable of non-profit and fund accounting, basic bookkeeping, financial transactions
• Are highly trustworthy and able to strictly maintain confidentiality of privileged information.

Physical Requirements

Sitting for extended periods is required. Intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, and bending.
