Job Responsibilities:
- Under the general supervision of the Business Office Manager, works on daily, weekly, and yearly end deadlines. Prepares and maintains the Business Office employees daily and work schedule on the SAP system.
- Monthly reconciliation of the resident’s fund bank account statements from the financial institution, assisting the resident Funds bookkeeper in filling out resident expenditure voucher forms for telephone and cable company bills
- Prepares posting forms for entry into the computer with proper coding and other necessary information to post to the resident personal needs trust account
- Maintains and sets up to pay all group medical billing, BC/Dental, etc. along with individual insurance premiums to be paid
- Reconciles final invoices and statements for missing income or adjustments.
- Prepares end of year financial information received for annual taxes distribution including payment history, 1099’s and other income related documents necessary for filling taxes.
- Prepares purchase requisitions for office supplies for Business Office staff
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bookkeeping background a plus
- Knowledge of banking functions- deposits, withdrawals, and other forms
- Knowledge and understanding of health and Medicare D prescription insurance, working benefits and procedures preferred.
- Proficient with a PC computer and have working knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL and Microsoft Word for various business office related functions
- Basic Math Skills Essential
- Ability to work in a fast paced and multi-tasking atmosphere
