What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER INTERN - Human Resources Aide position at Fairfax Water?
Under the supervision of the Employee Engagement Officer, the Human Resources (HR) Aide provides administrative support to the HR team. The HR Aide is responsible for assisting with recruitment, administration tasks, and other duties as assigned. In return, the HR Aide will receive hands-on exposure to the inner workings of a small HR department.
- Recruitment Assistance:
- Administrative Assistance:
- Proofreading HR documents.
- Assisting with the filing of personnel records.
Reviews and audits records to identify data corrections
Answers telephone calls and refer to HR Staff.
Organizes files and office supplies
Shreds information as needed.
Researches and benchmarks market Personnel processes and completes other assignments as learning opportunities
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office and SharePoint applications.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Enrolled as a full-time student at a college, university, or trade school for the upcoming fall to qualify for the program.
- Possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
- Pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
- Position Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
