Medical Office Front Desk - MUST SPEAK MANDARIN!!
Medical Office Front Staff (Mandarin speaking).
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS :
- Education : High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelor's degree desired.
- Licensure : None.
- Experience : Prefer one year of work experience in a medical office setting. Knowledge of computer and medical terminology desired.
PRIMARY FUNCTION :
- Schedule appointments
- Answer phones and assist patient with their needs
- Check eligibility and insurance
- Outreach calls
- Responding to patients with text messaging
HOURS :
Full Time (Monday to Thursday 9A-6P, Friday and Saturday 9A-1P)
BENEFITS :
Health insurance stipend, 401k after 1 year of employment, 9 paid vacation days, CA sick pay.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS : Working in an office environment. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, type at 50 wpm, operate calculator, scanner, e-mail and such other office equipment as necessary.
Must be able to communicate clearly. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods and to work in a high volume environment.
Language requirement :
Must speak Mandarin fluently.
SOME RESPONSIBILTIES OF THE JOB : (further detail to be discussed during interview)
- Help with patient scheduling and insurance verification.
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Call patients to help them schedule appointments, follow up missed appointments or cancelled appointments
Fairway Children's Medical Group was founded in 1991. We are a very well established and well loved General Pediatric outpatient office within the San Gabriel Valley community.
The practice was founded by Dr. Eva Chan and later joined by her daughter Dr. Jackyln Chan and we continue to grow. We have a very tight niche team that works together to provide the highest quality of care that we can to our patients and families.
We also pride ourselves in serving a largely non-English speaking population that need the most help navigating the complicated health care system including those that speak Mandarin, Cantonese, and Spanish.
